Biological Characteristics
- Species: Tuna belongs to the family Scombridae, which includes various species. The most commonly known species of tuna are bluefin, yellowfin, albacore, bigeye, and skipjack.
- Size and Weight: Tuna can vary greatly in size. Bluefin tuna can grow to be over 3 meters long and weigh over 600 kilograms, while skipjack tuna typically reaches about 1 meter in length.
